    Translation
    Know all by these presents, that we, Thomas CUMBERBACH of Broughton in the County of Flint yeoman and John POTTER of the same said county husbandman are bound and firmly obliged to John PRICE parish priest in fifty pounds [£50] of good and legal money of England to pay to the same …by the presents, sealed with our seals the thirteenth day of December in the year 1669.

    The condicon of this Obligacon is such that is Dorothy LAURENCE also CUMBERBACH doe and will well and truely administer all and singular the goods cattells and chattels of Jane CUMBERBACH late of Broughton in the parish & peculiar jurisdiction of Hawarden widow…[etc]
