    • Sarah Cumberbatch was buried 14 October 1797. This Sarah would have been 4 days old. Was it her or was it her mother? This Sarah was baptised 31st October.

    • SARAH CUMBERBATCH, daughter of Edward Carleton Cumberbatch and Sarah (Howell) his wife. Born 1797. Married 1 May 1818 [Correction follows] ^ Charles second son of Stephen Cave of Cleve Hill, Gloucester. She inherited Nicholas and Ebworth. They had issue two children:
      1. Stephen Cave who married Jane Haviland.
      2. Lawrence Trent Cave who married Lucy Greenwood. He died in 1899. They had issue two sons and two three daugh¬ters. The eldest son of the marriage is Charles John Philip Cave, the present owner of Nicholas planta¬tion in Barbados.

      Errata. In the notes on TRENT, CARLETON, and CUMBERBATCH families which were published in the Journal for November 1941, two errors have been noted. On page 50, the record of Sarah Cumberbatch’s marriage should read-Married 1 May 1818, Charles second son of Stephen Cave of Cleve Hill, Gloucestershire. And on the same page it is stated that Lawrence Trent Cave and Lucy, his wife, had issue two daughters. In fact, there were three daughters of the marriage.
