      I Phillis Cumberpatch of Kingsthorpe in the County of Northampton Widow being of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding (praised by God for the same) Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) I give and devise unto my son John Cumberpatch and my daughter Ann Southwick their Heirs and Assigns for ever as Tenants in Common and not as Jointenants [joint tenants] All that my Messuage or Tenement with the Garden and Appurtenances to the same belonging situate and being in Kingsthorpe aforesaid now in the Tenure or Occupation of Charles Johnson. I give and devise unto my Daughter Phillis Cumberpatch her Heirs and Assigns for ever All that my Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances situate and being in Kingsthorpe aforesaid now in the Tenure or Occupation of Sarah Danes And also all that Garden or Piece of Ground lying near or adjoining the same Messuage and now in my own Posession Subject nevertheless to and I do hereby charge the said last mentioned Messuage and Garden or Piece of Ground with the Payment of the sum of thirty five Pounds [£35] unto my Daughter Susanna Bryan at the End of Twelve Months next after my Decease and I do give and bequeath the same to her accordingly And also subject to and I do hereby charge the same with the Payment of four Pounds [£4] apiece unto the five children of my late son Richard Cumberpatch to whom I give and bequeath the same accordingly and direct the same to be paid at the End of twelve Calendar Months next after my Decease unto such of them as shall then have attained the age of twenty one Years and to such of them as shall not then have attained the age of twenty one Years when as soon as they shall respectively attain that age. I give and bequeath unto my son James Cumberpatch all the Crops of Corn Grain and Hay and all my dead Stock which shall at the Time of my Decease be standing growing or being on the Lands and Premises by me now rented of Thomas ^John^ Cooch And also all my Implements of Husbandry of every Sort and Kind Subject to and charged with the Payment of all Rent and Taxes that shall be due for or in Respect of the same Land at my Decease or afterwards become due for the sale All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattels Effects and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what Nature or Kind soever I Give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Phillis Cumberpatch to and for her own Use and Benefit Subject to the Payment of my Debts (Except the said Rent and Taxes) and my Funeral Expences. And I make constitute and appoint my said Daughter Phillis Cumberpatch sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seal this thirtieth Day of May in the Year of our Lord Christ One thousand Eight hundred and Eight [30th May 1808].
